They are a great way to use old buttons you have around the house, or use those fun and funky ones your local craft store offers. Take a look below at how to make your own.
Magnets (round, look for heavy duty ones)
Hot glue sticks, glue gun
We found everything we needed at our local craft store for under a few dollars each. Look for magnets in an assortment of shapes and sizes so that they have some depth and variation to them.
1. Begin by taking your largest button and place some hot glue on it. It will be the base of your magnet.
2. Place a smaller button on the hot glue dab. Press and hold.
3. Repeat the process, adding a dab of hot glue on top of each button and stacking smaller button on top of it.
4. Add some hot glue to the back of the largest button (your base) and press a magnet to it. Press until secure and dry.
Once your glue is dry your button magnet is ready to be used. Use these colorful pieces to hang your memos, coupons, whatever you decide. They are sure to add some spring color and fun to your space.
This is a simple craft that is fun, easy, and inexpensive. Give it a try this weekend and see what you can come up with.
